“Dementia has affected me personally and professionally. One of my favorite people in the world, my stepmom, passed away from dementia in 2016 at 69 years old. Feeling the effects of dementia was so hard for all who loved her.
Walking through dementia with our family is what grew my passion, empathy, and professional desire to make a difference in Marinette County, then feeling the effects I otherwise saw. Professionally, I have worked with many individuals with dementia and have supported them and their families, as a social worker.”
