As a coalition, we plan to engage with as many professionals, business owners, and personal caregivers as possible to offer training on ways to interact and care for those living with dementia. A business that is dementia friendly becomes a valuable stakeholder in the well-being of the community.
As a coalition, we plan to hold events in our community to raise awareness.
Much of our planning will be determined from our community needs assessment survey. Activities and events may include training, collaboration, support, education, and signage to our community at large. DFC coalition strives to offer people love, hope, and support and to stand in the gap and care for one another.
DFC coalition meetings are held monthly. For more information, please see “contact” tab.
Currently, we have personal caregivers and professionals as part of our coalition.
Our community does have services for individuals with dementia and their families. You may access this information through Marinette County Elderly services, Marinette County ADRC, or The Alzheimer’s association.
